Fusion Legal Nurse Consulting was founded on the principles of fairness, commitment, determination and ethics. We are fortunate to be able to work with clients throughout the nation to bridge the gap between healthcare and the law. Our primary goal is to keep nonmeritious cases out of the legal system and bring justice to those who warrant it. We dedicate ourselves to customer service, excellence and continued education.
Amy Smith RN, BSN, CLNC, is the founder of Fusion Legal Nurse Consulting. She has lived in Houma, LA for over 5 years with her husband, a successful business owner, and their two daughters. She is originally from North Carolina, where she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington School of Nursing in 1998. She brings over 9 years of clinical nursing experience, both inside the hospital system and out. She has 6 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care, including time spent at Tulane Children's Hospital. She began working in home health in 2004, and has since specialized in wound care and pediatrics, as well as the care of patients at all ages. She has been certified through the Vickie Milazzo Institute as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and is an active member of NACLNC (National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants). Through her years of nursing experience, she is an expert on chart review and analysis, planning of interdisciplinary care, and Medicare/Medicaid spending and reimbursement. She is an expert on Standards of Care in both the hospital and home care settings.
